This marks Warren Lincoln's second appearance in the 2K Showcase bringing those east side vibes to the event, while East Kentwood is making their fifth appearance representing the west side.

Warren Lincoln (13-2) is one of the hottest teams in the state. They've secured wins against Grand Rapids Christian and East Lansing. Under the guidance of Coach Wydell Henry, a seasoned group of players has carried Lincoln forward. Great guard play is an essential need to win a state championship, good thing for Lincoln they have one of the states top backcourts Leading the charge juniors Markus Blackwell and Moses Blackwell. Unsigned senior Kimari Barden is versatile on both ends of the floor as he defends multiple positions and plays inside and outside on the offensive side of the ball.

East Kentwood (8-5) has put together another competitive schedule to prepare for March. This matchup aligns perfectly with Coach Mike Thomas's vision for his team. The Falcons are anchored by junior Jah Hatchett, who can get buckets with the best of them and the leader of the team, alongside senior Christian Rembert-Humphrey, who brings his versatility, athleticism and size to the Kentwood lineup. Junior guard Darryl Thompkins Jr. orchestrates the offense for Kentwood.

Key factors to the game to watch out for is East Kentwood's full-court pressure versus Warren Lincoln's pace and patients in the half-court pace.

As both Coach Wydell Henry and Coach Mike Thomas have state championship aspirations this game brings another test to prepare for March.
