PREVIEW-NORTHVIEW VS NORTH FARMINGTON

The nightcap of the 10th annual 2K Showcase is set to deliver one of the games of the night in Michigan as two top 10 teams in Division 1, #4 North Farmington (12-0) and #6 Northview (9-1) close out the weekend.

Returning to the 2K Showcase for the third time, the North Farmington Raiders aim to build on past successes. Their instant classic in 2015 against eventual state champions Godwin Heights and in 2023 against state champion runner-up Muskegon have solidified their reputation in West Michigan. Meanwhile, marking their fourth appearance in the showcase, the Wildcats of Northview have had their own instant classic in the event, against top-ranked Brother Rice in 2022.

Under the leadership of Coach Todd Negoshian, the Raiders have consistently ranked among Michigan's top programs. This season's roster boasts two of the states top talents: Nigeria commit Landon Williams and Cleveland State commit Tyler Spatt. Unsigned senior Dylan Smith adds size to the Raider front line.

On the Northview side, Coach David Chana steers the Wildcats toward contention for a state championship, led by one of the states top floor generals, senior and Western Michigan commit EJ Ryans, along with Cam Ryans who is a top 5 player in the class of 2026, and junior Brady Swartz who is having a breakout season.

As both teams have strong fan bases, expect the fans to contribute to its team momentum swings throughout the game. Some key factors for the game is which team can control the glass, and who can get stops on the defensive side of the ball.

With both programs seeking to build on their state championship aspirations in this mid-season test, fans can expect nothing short of a state championship-level competition when the Raiders and Wildcats take the floor.
